Jon Seah recently lay down the challenge on Facebook to go on a detox diet that prohibits one from eating any kind of meat for 30 days. Amazingly, or stupidly depending on your point of view, I decided to take up the challenge and decided to have a running record of it as well. However, as I can't eat most beans and nuts (meaning my protein intake can't be supplemented by tofu or its ilk) I added the exception of fish to my diet. So here's day 1 report card: Lunch: Rice with brinjal, bitter gourd & cabbage.
Mid-day snack @ 4pm: pineapple
Dinner: Cinnamon Melts (come on, 1 vice a day? :P) & Rice with fish fried with ginger with spring onions.
Let's see how long I can go without any meats than fish this time. Aiming for 2 weeks! We'll think about the 30 days after passing that milestone eh?
