To Mr Steve Irwin:

I am sure everyone's heard/read about the tragedy of Steve Irwin's passing. This post is a tribute to a conservationalist who stayed true to the cause and did things in his own fashion.

Heard on Class 95fm today that irate Steve Irwin fans were lashing out indiscrimately at Stingrays or Rays of any form as a form of revenge. They seem to think that Rays are now "evil" and should be persecuted for the hand they played in Steve Irwin's death.

Hand? "HAND"?! Only the sick species called "human being" strike out in spite and not for food or self-defence. Such tragic irony. How is that fans of a conservationalist are striking out at harmless animals. If anyone(thing) is entitled to taking a swipe at the Rays, it would be the crocs. They practically just lost their patron saint! You don't see a marine Jihad between Crocodiles and Rays being held, do you?
