I haven't posted anything regarding the Airbus A380 since it's maiden flight last year. It's not that I've lost interest in this history making airplane. In fact, I even had a project on it in school. Our group was tasked to do a engineering analysis for the implications super-jumbo planes like the A380 would have on an airport's logistics, security, safety, technical and staff. Included in the report would be market analysis of the take up and likely usage of the airplane as well. Finally, based on the data we've gathered, we're to come up with a proposal to the UK govt. on how should airports in UK handle the situation and suggest a few possibilities.
Anyway, if you all didn't already know, A380 went on a world tour recently. Flying to all the major customer's airports. SIA being the first outside of Europe to see/handle it. Attached is the video at the airshow held by them.
